The unpredictability of life is what makes the journey simultaneously rich, and nerve-wracking. Life’s ebbs and flows can bring elation one moment, and in an instance shift to gut-wrenching pain and bewilderment. Fortunately, we all have a choice – a choice on how to respond to situations. Do we choose to come out of the door leading to fear and hopelessness, or are we inspired to see beyond past struggles to secure a more hopeful future?
And while every situation is different, our Family Sessions seek to wrestle with every-day struggles that can easily influence personal joy and family bonds of unity. Hence, the family video sessions include short sermonettes outlining basic principles related to our working G-R-A-C-E theme, as well as subsequent application videos to determine whether we were successful in implementing Christian principles when our character was tested.
This is where the rubber meets the road!! Did Scripture truly inform our perspective, or did we fall short in the trial? We will be wrestling with these matters in sharing the raw truth of our life experiences. Paul in Romans 5 says it best, that our current sufferings produce endurance, which develops character, and that character building brings about hope. And hope is not shameful because of God’s love. This is the essence of our Family Standard. Learning from failures to improve future responses through the hope of God’s love…together as a Family!!
