Why is family everything to me? First of all, for sixteen years it’s the only life I have ever known. Being able to share my ups and downs with people who have my best interest at heart is extremely helpful. Between my faith and family, I rarely feel unprepared for the challenges of each day. And those challenges keep expanding. I am trying to juggle: i) prepping for college ACT/SATs; ii) keeping my GPA up; iii) working on our family’s non-profit which focuses on the root causes of poverty (The Recursion Program Young Leaders Board); iv) developing code for different App ideas I have; and v) training in my free time to remain competitive on a nationally ranked lacrosse program (Team 91 Georgia). It is not always easy, but that is part of my individual journey I hope to share. Hopefully, my story will connect with someone else who may be experiencing similar issues. And maybe they can positively influence someone else and/or their community at large. I am just trying to follow the words of Christ from Matthew 5 by allowing my light to shine before others, that it might glorify God.
