Over the past decade, culture has slowly eroded the importance of cultivating and maintaining familial bonds, towards favoring self-interested pursuits of individualism. Our mission for the Family Standard is to re-align family values with basic Christian principles to stimulate meaningful and lasting interaction within the family unit. Whether parental, spousal, or sibling to sibling, we want to serve as a support platform for families coping with the daily trials of life. We seek to address:
- How parents can engage children about religion, peer-pressure, etc.
- How parents may best relate to their children in an ever-evolving culture (as well as the context through which kids can engage parents on emerging cultural issues)
- The burden of new/young parents to raise thoughtful and respectful children
- Children wrestling with tough social issues, as well as adults contending with touchy societal matters
- How identifying and pursuing constructive personal hobbies/passions can help alleviate pain and sadness during difficult seasons of life.
- Mitigating the effects of society’s pull towards individual pleasure/thought, in favor of family togetherness
- Spousal relationships leading to marriage, married life, as well as guidance for singles seeking to eventually marry
